Organization Description:
Shekinah Ministries works with Department of Corrections parole
officers, as well as with chaplains at state prisons and county jails,
to assist homeless ex-offenders (and their families) with housing as a
first step to successfully reintegrating them into society. We
have found that a high percentage (up to 90%) of ex-inmates will
not return to crime when they participate in our housing, jobs,
food, and lifestyle mentoring programs, as opposed to the historic 70%
recidivism rate for those not receiving such assistance.
